The children and staff have had a bitter-sweet day today, saying goodbye to Miss Latto. Everyone came in sports clothes and had a session with Miss Latto playing their favourite sports with her. Miss Wood came dressed as a giraffe because that is Miss Latto’s favourite animal! Mrs Mobberley made an amazing Police themed cake, which was delicious. We had a special assembly where some of the children came onto the stage and shared their favourite memories of Miss Latto. Year 6 couldn’t be in the assembly because they were on a trip, so they decided to make a PowerPoint about Miss Latto and her wonderful achievements, which we played in the assembly. Miss Latto was presented with a trophy (her 4th since joining our school) to award her for being ‘the star player in our team’, as well as a football which had been organised by and signed by all of the members of the football team. We ended the day, at football training, with the children giving Miss Latto 3 cheers! She has had what I hope will always be a memorable send off. Thank you so much Miss Latto for everything which you have done for our children and our school over the last four and half years – you have a been a huge part of our success!
