Measuring the temperature
We used a thermometer to measure the temperature both indoors and outdoors. We discussed measuring in degrees Celsius and how we most effectively can measure and record the temperature.

Magic beans on toast
The giant from ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ invited us to his castle cafe for magic beans on toast. We had to take our own beans along to the cafe though, it is a good job we had been on a visit to TESCO the day before.
Mixing colours
We used the primary colours and mixed them to make secondary colours and painted our clay pots with them. We spoke about the war, and cool colours and the emotions we attached to different colours.
Freeze framing
We enjoyed reading our new story ‘The Storm Whale’ and freeze framed parts of the story to portray the emotions involved and the scenes the story were set in.
