Lots of fun at forest school today. The weather was kind and the children were great. We started the session off with a conker hunt and had a wee bit of competition to see which team could collect the most.

There was lots of teamwork going on. Children were learning how to use tools safely and creating their own treasures- making conker necklaces and cookie necklaces too. Often using the tools is not very easy, but there was a lot of determination being shown to get the job done.

Feeding the group is a lovely way to support each other. From setting the fire, cooking the hotdogs  cutting the buns, and the important job of being ketchup squirter!  There were lots of happy faces as we sat around the fire circle to share our best bits of the afternoon.
