We had a brilliant time at Forest school, lighting a fire and cooking bananas on the fire. We enjoyed playing different games to help to ’feed the eagle’ as well as digging in the mud to see what we could find.

We have been learning about and celebrating Deaf Awareness week, learning about the different levels of hearing loss and the ways that deaf people communicate. We have been learning to finger spell using British Sign Language.

We had lots of fun at the sports festival at Thorp Academy. We enjoyed a variety of sports such as; dribbling a football, throwing an catching as well as obstacle courses. We enjoyed working with our friends throughout the afternoon as part of a team.

We have been learning how a moving picture is made and experimenting with making their own. We used a sliding mechanism and decided whether we wanted it to be a horizontal, vertical or diagonal lever.
