Sorting animals into groups

We learned about the different groups that animals are part of, and we practised sorting them into their different groupings using our toy animals. We practised using the vocabulary of mammals, amphibians, fish, reptiles and birds.

We have enjoyed learning about Henri Rousseau, imitating his work then recreating our own. We created colour wheels, identifying warm and cool colours and used a view point to help us choose a setting for our final piece. There was a lot of variety within the class...

Active English!

To help cement our understanding of subordinate clauses, we went active!  We made giant sentences, chopped up some ‘normal sized’ sentences and also decorated the yard with our own examples too.

We showed our support for anti-bullying week by wearing odd socks all day. We spoke about what bullying was and the importance of being kind and helping others.
