Welcome to Friends of Rowlands Gill Primary School
We are a charitable organisation (charity no.1050183) run wholly by volunteers, comprising of parents/carers and grandparents of the pupils at Rowlands Gill Primary School. Through partnership with the school we aim to enhance our children’s school experience by organising after school clubs and events, and through funding special projects.
The PTA relies on willing parents/carers/family members to help out for as little as one hour per month you could help with the following jobs:
- Help on a stall at an event
- Bake a cake
- Distribute event posters
- Secure donations/funding
- Help organise events and projects
- Fundraising ideas
- Use your professional skills to help with the management of the committee
- Join the PTA!

FoRGPS Rag Bag Scheme
The scheme is completely FREE, and your PTA will be paid for every KG recycled. You can raise hundreds of pounds with every collection made!
How does it work?
The PTA clothes bank is situated at the Dominies Close entrance opposite the school kitchen. All you need to do is bag up your items and put them into the clothes bank. Once the bank is full FoRGPS will arrange a collection, and all monies from the weigh in will be ploughed back into the school.
When can I drop items off?
Drop off by foot is between 7am – 5.30pm (Monday to Friday)
Drop off by car is between 7am – 8am, 10am – 2pm, 4pm – 5.30pm (Monday to Friday)
What is accepted?
We collect wearable clothing, paired shoes, handbags and belts.
We cannot accept work wear, uniforms, wet/soiled items, curtains, towels, duvets or blankets, table cloths, linens, cushions, carpets & rugs, suitcases, books, bric-a-brac or coat hangers.
Should you wish to donate school uniform, books, bric-a-brac, tombola items, DVDs or games please drop off at school reception at any time and the PTA will collect.
Eggciting Easter egg competition
The children all had a great time designing and creating their eggs. There were some tricky moments but everyone managed to show a complete, uncracked egg in the competition. That is no mean feat! Take a look and I'm sure you will agree they did a cracking job. #
It’s competition time!
There were lots of super ideas for our egg decorating yesterday, including politicians, gumball machines, aliens and loads more. The children did a fantastic job and there weren't too many broken eggs either! Phew! Take a look and see who you can spot.

We didn’t think decorating eggs would take all day but these Art fanatics know how to milk a good Art session. They have taken such and really enjoyed making them. They can’t wait to see who wins.
