Science Pets
Our caterpillars have arrived! In Science, we are learning about life cycles. We are so excited to see a life cycle happening before our eyes. Today, our 'class pets' are crawling around!

We have enjoyed reading our story Little Red Riding Hood and acting it out with our peers. We freeze framed key parts of the story thinking about the emotions involved.

Week 1 30 Days Wild
The children in Nursery have been taking part in 30 Days Wild, the Wildlife Trusts' annual challenge event, where everyone involved does one wild thing a day throughout the month of June. This weeks activities have included hugging a tree, going on a slug and snail...
Run run as fast as you can
This week we have enjoyed acting out the story in both PE and on our big stage. We also made Gingerbread Man shaped biscuits. They tasked delicious and gave us some great vocabulary for our writing.
We are going on a big hunt
Linked to 30 days wild, we adapted ‘We are going on a bear hunt’ to our very own version of ‘We are going on a bug hunt’. We searched all over the school grounds and found out that bugs like cold, damp and wet places.
Sharing the holy communion meal
We learned about the purpose of the holy communion meal and last supper and then shared out bread and wine (juice) as a class.

We enjoyed working together to hunt for the mini beasts in the mud and then read the real and alien words on each one. We challenged each other to see how many words we could read in a minute.
