In 6H our class teacher is Mrs Humberston & our fantastic teaching assistant is Ms Wood.
The children in this class work very hard but also have a lot of fun.
They have the superb reputation of being one of the most polite and well behaved classes in the school.
The children come from all over Gateshead and some are lucky enough to get a taxi to school.
We all are very kind and respectful towards each other and have lots of fun learning together.
We would like to use this blog to share our homework, our ideas, our fascinating finds, upcoming events and photographs, and we`d really like to know what everyone thinks of them.

Forest School
We had a blast at forest school today - den building, whittling, crafting, helping to start the fire and of course tasting the snacks! We can’t wait to go back next week.
Our cup is always full
This week our focus in maths was capacity and not only did we get to taste our maths work it allowed us to use the mathematical vocabulary; full, nearly full, half full, nearly empty and empty.

Inverted commas – What did the character actually say?
In our story writing this half term, we brought our characters to life by using inverted commas and direct speech. The children learned a very funny song to remember what parts they need and where which helped them when they wrote their own speech in their stories....
Sparks were flying in science
In science, we have been learning about electricity. We have investigated circuits and how they work. We have set up tests to observe over time. We know what circuits need to work. We know what switches are and next week we'll be testing materials and creating our own...
Column addition and subtraction in 3M
3M are working so hard on their 3 digit addition and subtraction so that they fully understand what they are doing. We have used base ten and place value counters to help us with our compact method of column subtraction and addition.
