YEAR 6 ARMS (RED)
Mrs Humberston & Ms WoodWelcome to 6H (ARMS Provision) Class Blog!
In 6H our class teacher is Mrs Humberston & our fantastic teaching assistant is Ms Wood.
The children in this class work very hard but also have a lot of fun.
They have the superb reputation of being one of the most polite and well behaved classes in the school.
The children come from all over Gateshead and some are lucky enough to get a taxi to school.
We all are very kind and respectful towards each other and have lots of fun learning together.
We would like to use this blog to share our homework, our ideas, our fascinating finds, upcoming events and photographs, and we`d really like to know what everyone thinks of them.
Keep Blogging!
Mrs Humberston, Ms Wood & 6H

Celebrations all around us
In RE this term we have been looking at different celebrations. We finished it off with our current celebration of Advent and made an advent crown with each candle representing hope, joy, peace and love.
Great Rowland’s sewing bee
In DT we threaded our needles and after designing our puppets made them from felt material. It was a little tricky!
All partied out!
As smart as darts for our Christmas party
Mind Mapping in 5B!
In 5B we've been trying out Mind Maps as a way of us showing what we have learned in our unit about friction - the notes in pencil are what we knew at the start, and the notes in pen are what we knew by the end!

4B have been exploring The Adventures of Isabel by American poet Ogden Nash. We discussed the adventure she goes on, her absurd and hilarious encounters, the author’s brilliant use of rhyming couplets and the beautiful language in the poem. When we’d had our fill of...
1R Christmas fun
1R had a magical day celebrating Christmas with thanks to the Friends of Rowlands Gill. We were very lucky to have a special visitor that told us wonderful tales and handed out gifts. 1R took part in games as a class and made some Christmas pudding crispy cakes that...
