In 6H our class teacher is Mrs Humberston & our fantastic teaching assistant is Ms Wood.
The children in this class work very hard but also have a lot of fun.
They have the superb reputation of being one of the most polite and well behaved classes in the school.
The children come from all over Gateshead and some are lucky enough to get a taxi to school.
We all are very kind and respectful towards each other and have lots of fun learning together.
We would like to use this blog to share our homework, our ideas, our fascinating finds, upcoming events and photographs, and we`d really like to know what everyone thinks of them.

Bringing Books to Life
Some of the children in KS1 and KS2 have been attending an after school, Bringing Books to Life with Joanne Etherington. They've had great fun reading Walking Through The Jungle by Julie Lacome, acting out the story and making masks to re-tell the story. Who knows...
Sorting animals into groups
We learned about the different groups that animals are part of, and we practised sorting them into their different groupings using our toy animals. We practised using the vocabulary of mammals, amphibians, fish, reptiles and birds.
Henri Rousseau
We have enjoyed learning about Henri Rousseau, imitating his work then recreating our own. We created colour wheels, identifying warm and cool colours and used a view point to help us choose a setting for our final piece. There was a lot of variety within the class -...
Active English!
To help cement our understanding of subordinate clauses, we went active! We made giant sentences, chopped up some 'normal sized' sentences and also decorated the yard with our own examples too.
Odd socks day
We showed our support for anti-bullying week by wearing odd socks all day. We spoke about what bullying was and the importance of being kind and helping others.
