SPORTS AND P.E.
Fellside children love their sport and their PE!
We have a strong tradition for excelling in many sports and, thanks to our involvement with the Gateshead School Sports Partnership, we have many opportunities to participate in a wide range of competitions, festivals and cluster events in an equally wide ranging number of sports including football, basketball, rugby, tennis, hockey, athletics and dance.
In this section of the website, we aim to share news of our sporting developments, successes in competitions and curriculum developments in PE.
Learning about inspirational people
We enjoyed the stories our mystery reader chose today, learning about Jane Goodall and why she is inspirational. We discussed some endangered animals and the enjoyed reading a story about racing hamsters.
Chance to Shine Cricket
Today we enjoyed our second cricket session in school. We thoroughly enjoyed having a go at batting and fielding. Miss S was so impressed!

Tasting foods
We tasted different foods without being able to see them and guessed what the foods were. We then found out what they were and discussed whether they were salty, sweet, bitter, sour or umami. Some foods were tastier than others!
