Venn Diagrams in Maths
We are working on statistics in maths at the moment. We have been making our own Venn diagrams to sort data we were given. We also had a go at gathering our own data and decided how we would sort it effectively.
Partitioning numbers
We have been focussing on place value in our Maths lessons. We know that to partition numbers means to split into smaller parts. Today we looked at how many different ways we could partition a two-digit number. We enjoyed using the base 10 and moving the tens over.
Making numbers
Today we have been focussing on place value, looking at how many tens and ones are in different numbers. We enjoyed physically moving the dienes across the board.
Partitioning in different ways
The children have been learning how to partition in different ways. They are really putting their place value understanding to the test.

How can we represent numbers up to 10,000?
Using lots of different Place Value materials. We explored the different ways that we could represent numbers like 9,325 or 2,036. We used our vocabulary and stem sentences to describe the value of the digits within each number.
