RECEPTION
Miss R Innes and Mrs. S BrogdenWelcome to the wonderful world of Reception!
Our teachers are Miss Innes and Mrs. Brogden and our Teaching Assistant is Miss Tingle.
We aim to inspire, in every child, a love of learning and enable them to achieve their goals, aspirations, and dreams, by encouraging independence, confidence, and creativity.
We believe that young children learn and develop best in enabling environments, in which their experiences respond to their individual needs, both in the classroom environment and in the great outdoors.
We hope you enjoy looking around our class blog, which is a window into our world and the wonderful things we get up to, please feel free to add any photos or comments you have too!

Which invertebrates can I find on the school grounds?
4B have been exploring living things and their habitats. We wanted to find out what invertebrates we could find living around the school grounds. We decided to keep a tally of what we found.

Everyday Materials and their Properties
Last week, 2S enjoyed looking at different objects and finding out which materials they were made from. This week we played a game of 'What's in the Magic Bag?' and children took it in turns to choose an object and describe it to the rest of the class. This helped us...
London’s Human and Physical Features
In Geography we have been learning what human and physical features are. We then decided if the famous London landmarks we know about are human (man-made) or physical (natural).

The water cycle in action!
We have loved seeing the water cycle in action- when the sun shone on the sea, we saw evaporation and then we saw precipitation from the clouds, which fell into the rivers and streams, which flowed into the sea and then the whole cycle started all over again. It was...
