Frosty forest fun

Shadows
We enjoyed learning about how shadows are created and how they change throughout the day. We went outside and drew our shadows at 9am and then compared them to lunchtime and later afternoon to see how and why the length and direction of them had changed.
Forest school
We had a brilliant time at Forest school this week, lighting fires, whittling sticks, playing games and exploring nature. We enjoyed building dens and investigating the ice that had frozen around Forest school.
Sequence sounds in Scratch programming
Check out the children's scratch projects to sequence sounds. The children have programmed their instruments to play twinkle twinkle little star. You may need to press the instrument or the space bar to get them started enjoy.
The Arctic Circle
We used atlases and globes to find out where the Arctic Circle is in the world and then identified the countries that it covers. We know that the Arctic Circle only covers parts of these countries and we showed this on our maps.
