World Book Day
We had a brilliant time celebrating World Book Day in Early Years. We all dressed up as different words and discussed what they all meant. Our focus text for the day was Supertato, we listened to the story, made chips, vegetable printing and lots of other activities...
Taller or shorter?
Following on from reading the story of ‘Superworm’ in choosing time the children made wands just like the evil lizard. We used our skills of measure and mathematical vocabulary to compare the wands to the size of the worms.
Magic beans on toast
The giant from ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ invited us to his castle cafe for magic beans on toast. We had to take our own beans along to the cafe though, it is a good job we had been on a visit to TESCO the day before.
Our pancakes were much nicer than Mr Wolf’s pancakes!
Chinese New Year
We enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year. We cleaned ready for the new year, made lanterns, did some dragon dancing and set up our own Chinese restaurant. We even wrote our name in Chinese writing. What a super time we had!
Our Eco Garden Transformation- Thank You Mr and Mrs Allchin
