We have had a fantastic day today at Cullercoats. The coast guards at the lifeboat station provided us with lots of information about how to stay safe at sea and we even got to have a paddle!

We had enjoyed experimenting with different types of pencils and looking at when we should use them. We undertook a first sketch of the Titanic experimenting with the shading on different parts of the ship.

Children from Year 1 and Year 2 spent the day at Gibside National Trust today, taking part in orienteering and woodland activities provided by Gateshead SSP. The rain certainly didn’t stop us – we had a brilliant time!

Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed having a story and songs with our visitor today. We enjoyed singing along to 5 little men and acting it out too.

Year 1 had a brilliant afternoon meeting the author Lauren Hoffmeier who has written Mula and the fly amongst other stories. We enjoyed listening to the story and why and participated in a yoga session about the book.
